Prepping and Packing Checklist for you

Prepping and Packing Checklist for you

  • Make a list, check it twice – Holiday preparations can be hectic, but taking 15 minutes to write it all down can really help organize what you need to do and pack for your travels. It can also help reduce how much you end up packing when you map it out ahead of time. Plus, it’s really satisfying when you can start checking items off your list!
  • Pack light - It sounds easy enough, but when you’re traveling with little kids and have gifts in tow, it can easily add up. The more you carry with you, the more you have to remember. That can make traveling harder, especially when you’re in a busy airport or a packed car. I like to simplify by packing versatile pieces that I can wear multiple times and in multiple ways. The Vacay collections are designed with the busy traveler in mind. Each piece can be worn multiple ways, helping reduce the amount of clothes you need to pack.

I also ship gifts to my final destination. That way I know I won’t need to worry about potentially forgetting something.

  • Keep healthy snacks on hand – Whether you’re on the road or flying, eating healthfully can be a challenge. I always keep Zone or Think Thin bars, cheese sticks and almonds on hand for when one of us gets hungry. If you have young boys, you know that’s all the time!
  • Beautify – There’s nothing worse than looking and feeling drained after a long day of travel. I like to keep a small bag in my purse with toothpaste and tooth brush, some travel sized make-up and perfume for when I arrive. Nothing makes you feel fresher than brushing your teeth and add some tinted moisturizer, lip gloss, mascara and a spritz of perfume and I feel like a new woman!
